The coronavirus (COVID-19) in digital marketing strategies
The increase in the consumption of ultra-processed products has been identified as one of the main determinants of overweight and obesity on a global scale. In Uruguay, these products are frequently consumed by the child and adolescent population. The digital marketing strategies used by companies that sell ultra-processed products during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) could contribute to increasing their consumption. In this context, the objective of the work was to explore whether the pandemic was used in the digital marketing strategies of the ultra-processed products industry in the country.
